Daddy

Daddy took a week and a half of work during Christmas.  It was so fun.  We played all day.  I was so sad when we both had to go back to work...until next vacation....

Uncle Alex

Uncle Alex is home.  We love Uncle Alex.  When he drives by, Mommy says it is like a moviestar is coming, the way we shout and scream.  Uncle Alex plays with us, picks us up from school, takes us to school, reads to us, rides his skateboard with us, plays video games with us and sometimes babysits us.
I love Uncle Alex so much I drew a picture of him and me together.  I asked Mommy if he was dark like Daddy...

Silly Girl

Brothers don't shake hands, Brothers Hug!

Wilsey and I are best friends, best friends.  We love to play together. We play all the time and we usually get along pretty well.  Well, one week a few weeks back, we hit a rough patch in our relationship.  We could not stop bickering and tattling on each other.  Mommy and Daddy had enough and made us "hug it out".  Daddy said we had to hug until we could be nice.  Finally, Will said, "I am sorry I kicked you in the head earlier today."   Unfortunately, all I could come up with was, "My arms hurt."
Daddy said I had to come up something nicer and I told Wilsey I liked him.  Which is true, for the most part.

When the Lights go Down in the City...

One night after Christmas, Mommy got us all jazzed to see the "zoolights" at the Oakland Zoo.  The zoo puts lights all over and has a light show.   We were so excited, we were singing songs about it on the way.  As we pulled up to the zoo, however, we thought it was very dark for a light show.  We had never been, but it didn't take long to realize something was wrong!  The electricity was out.  Oh the Disappointment!  Luckily, we have a smart Daddy who decided we should see the beautiful lights of the Temple and get hot chocolate.  It became a fun night.

Two nights later we went to the zoolights.  It did not disappoint.  It was fun to see how many lights there were.  We went to everything there was to see.  We even went to the play area and played in the dark.  My favorite exhibit is usually the alligators, but it was so dark we could not see.  We went right up to the tank and Mommy fumbled with her phone to get the flashlight to work.  When the light went on.... the alligator was RIGHT there staring at us...eek!

Sarah's Christmas

This Christmas was great for Sarah, she finally received some "girly" things.  And she immediately took to them.  She got dolls and a doll's bed, and a stroller.  She loves putting her babies to sleep and giving them sippy cups or bottles.  She also got girly things to dress up in.  She loves her tiaras, necklaces, hats, and backpacks.  She is a happy little clam!

Sarah also got a Princess Bed from a friend.  And we got a mattress from Oma.  It was amazing how it was shipped.  It came rolled up like a sleeping bag, but when it opened, it was a real-size mattress!!  Anyway, Sarah loves her princess bed.

Christmas with Grandpa

We went straight from Oli's to Grandpa's house.  We spent the night and then had Christmas with Grandpa, Lynne, and Auntie Jenise.  We loved just hanging out with Lynne in her comfy bed and watching shows or playing on her iPhone!!

Christmas Dinner

We had Christmas dinner at my cousin Oli's house.  We opened presents and played, played, played.  It was fun.  Nana got her first picture with all 7 of her grandkids!!

Christmas Day

We woke up Christmas Day and Santa had been there.  It was great and Nana came over to open stockings with us!!  We had a great time giving and getting presents.  I also noticed Santa didn't finish his cookies and so I finished them off for him!  Sharing germs with Santa, that's okay, right?

Christmas Eve Dinner

We spent Christmas Eve at Nana's house.  She has a party every year for her friends.  We got to play with our cousins and Nana's new bed.  It goes up and down and massages - so fun.  Mommy and Daddy always forgets that there is nothing to eat for kids at her parties, so once again we ate dinner out on Christmas Eve.  This year's winner - McDonalds!!  We were happy. Before we went home we cruised the streets and looked at some of the cool lights.  A couple of the neighborhoods had Luminaries and some pretty cool displays.  When we got home,  Mommy and Daddy let us have a picnic in the family room.  Afterwards we set up the chairs and watched Polar Express and ate popcorn.  When we were done, we set up the cookies and milk for Santa and waited....

Broadway Plaza

Tonight we continued our tradition of going to Broadway Plaza for dinner, a new ornament, and hot chocolate.  Will and I decided not to take naps beforehand and sure enough, fell asleep on the way.  Luckily, Uncle Alex was there to make sure we were not grumpy.
We had dinner at CPK, then we each picked out our ornaments.  It was painful this year, we were all so excited, we couldn't decide.  Since Will likes Dinosaurs, Mommy showed him the Dinosaur Train one.  Well, I ended up taking that and then Will couldn't decide.  He finally ended up with a Scooby Doo one because he really wanted one that made noise.  Sarah got a "Tinka bel" one.  After fooling around in that store, we got our coveted hot chocolates.  We were so happy!

Poor Mommy, she shouldn't try to take pictures and drink!

I am 6!!

I had an awesome birthday. It started on Wednesday when Nana picked me up from school with balloons,  took me to Toys R Us and McDonalds for lunch. I got to pick out my presents and the employees at Toys R Us sang to me over the loud speaker and gave me a balloon.  I came home and acted like it was no big deal.  I picked out Hex Bugs.  I gave 2 to Will and now we play together.
On Friday, Mommy made me breakfast, everyone sang to me, and I blew out the infamous Lightning McQueen candle.  I went to school in my pajamas because it was PAJAMA DAY!!  So exciting (so much so, I forgot underwear!)
Later I met my friends at Jump Sky High - Owen, Brady, Luke, Lexi, Brock, Will, and Randall.  We had fun jumping for an hour .  We ran around and jumped like maniacs.

Then we went to my house, and busted the pinata.  You might recognize the pinata from Halloween.  Yes, it is my Halloween Lego Man mask and yes, I am all right with it.  Mommy and Daddy think it was a fitting end to the costume.

After that, we ate green cupcakes with yellow Lego men.  Then we ran around some more like maniacs.  Everyone took home crayons shaped like Lego Men and a set of Legos to build.  I love being 6!!

Performances

Will and I both had school performances this year. Luckily, they were scheduled for different days.  At both performances, we sang holiday songs and had parties afterwards.  Grandpa came to see both.  Below is a picture of  Will when he saw Grandpa.  Both Will and I performed the same - when it was a song we liked, we performed.  When we were not interested, we made it clear!  In fact, I yawned during parts, ate my sweater, and danced like a maniac!  Fun for Mommy!

Auntie Jenise's Party

Every year we go to Auntie Jenise's Holiday Party.  It is great, we have pizza, juice, chips.  Then Santa comes and brings us presents.  This year Santa brought us books, Daddy thought this was a lame idea, but as you can tell from the pictures, we thought otherwise.  We were very happy with Santa's decision.
After Santa comes, the kid all get dressed in our PJs and watch a movie while the adults do their gift exchange.  I was very curious about it this year and kept sneaking upstairs.  It seemed pretty lame.  Below is a picture of Mommy losing the large serving jar she wanted...she ended up with a nice pitcher and glasses, she is very happy...

Preschool Visit to the Fire Station

Visiting Santa

Mommy hates to say this, but we rarely do anything in our hometown of Conord, CA.  They do not do things well.  But this year, I think they did a pretty good job at the Christmas Tree lighting.  We were able to go to Todos Santos Park, listen to music and wait in line to meet Santa.  They handed out buttons that lit up.  Santa let us take our own pictures, which is what Mommy likes to do.  He was very nice and listened to us.  Then we went ice skating on the "non ice" rink.  I had fun and Wilsey even gave it a try.  Daddy didn't like it, said it was like skating on a cutting board.  We had fun anyway and went to a great dinner after (with ice cream!)
Notice Santa's chair is missing a piece??

Deflated Snowmen - so Concord!

Our Christmas Tree

This year, we were going for a fake tree, to save money.  When suddenly Mommy found a Groupon for a tree at our local lot.  We were disappointed in the lot last year, but thought for the price it would be nice to have the smell of a real tree.  Wow!  The Groupon trees were great and we were very happy with our tree and service.  We were so excited and Daddy let us sit in his back area while they tied the tree to the car.
The next night we decorated the tree for FHE and had a great time. We got about half of the tree done and then we were DONE!

Thanksgiving in Mariposa

We went to Mariposa for Thanksgiving.  We actually went for a whole 5 days.  This is the longest trip we have been on since we went to Oregon and let me tell you, it wasn't any better.  Will and I were asking, "Are we there yet?" after 20 minutes and Sarah screamed for the last hour!
However, when we got there, it was fun.  Although we were upset there was no snow, Kelsie came and Uncle Alex came from Idaho!  We had fun coloring, playing marbles, reading, and burning stuff.  I also did the most heavy lifting I have ever done (or will do!)

Thanksgiving at Grandpa's House

Because we went to Mariposa for Thanksgiving, my Grandpa wanted to have an early Thanksgiving with us.  We all met at Grandpa's house early and played.  Lynne and Auntie Jenise were there and all my cousins!  We had fun chasing each other, playing games, reading books, and watching all the cool programs Lynne DVR'ed!!
